What does CCTV mean?

CCTV means closed-circuit television: cameras whose video goes only to the recorder or screens set up for them, not out to the public.

What happens in a power outage?

The wired cameras and the recorder need power to record. A power cut interrupts recording unless backup power keeps them running.

Is the doorbell on the same cable?

No. The wired video doorbell runs on your existing doorbell power, not on a camera cable to the recorder.

Can I add a wireless camera?

Yes. Wired is the main system, and the wireless camera is the add-on for a spot a cable cannot reach.
